Hey Matt--

Read your piece on Nieman. Well said.

My company, Kapost, is trying to transform the content production process (less the product on the CMS output side). That process--which has to date been less organized & chaotic--we are streamlining through a workflow app that is Salesforce.com for content production.

The result is that editorial teams can spend less time on administrative tasks, more time creating content, more easily add contributors (whether professional or "citizen" journalist) and have better insight into how their newsroom is performing.

We're in the middle of the country too (Boulder, CO). Would be eager to talk to you about what we're doing.
